McG has said that he considered releasing alternate This Means War endings
The director revealed that he wanted to release two versions of the upcoming romantic comedy starring Chris Pine, Tom Hardy and Reese Witherspoon - one in which Witherspoon’s character ends up with Pine and one in which she ends up with Hardy.
“There’s even an ending where the two boys end up in each other’s arms.”

“That should have been the ending. It would have been a really groundbreaking ending! You should have gone for it, really gone for it.”
added Hardy from across the podium.
—- some sources make this sound like a joke, others present it as fact. Either way: Tom voted Tuck+FDR. It would have been indeed groundbreaking. And seriously awesome.
